With the advancement of technology, living this life has become easier for many of us today. Thanks to those brilliant minds that have gone before us. Their inventions have contributed a lot to the comfort we so much enjoy at the present. Some may now be called obsolete, but surely those old inventions laid out the foundation for today’s more sophisticated gadgets.
Take for example the way we communicate to people. With high technology, people have become closer than ever. Distance is no longer an issue. In the past, it usually took a week or two before a message gets through the recipient. Aside from the fact that it was so expensive and inconvenient, only a few had access to it.
Advanced technology has placed communication right at your fingertips. With the creation of the World Wide Web in early 1990s, communication has become faster, cheaper, and more efficient. One can now talk to a love one who is a thousand miles away in real time and face to face using a web cam. A working mother can now monitor her baby who is under the care of a nanny right from her office desk through the Internet.
Good as it is, let us use technology not only for the good of a few but for the welfare of all humanity- because just like any other things, technology is subject to misuse and abuse.
