Drug addiction has been one of the major problems of civilized society. Drug addiction compromises many of man’s basic relationships, the family in particular. Drug-addicted children run away, skip school, and get into all kinds of trouble. Adults into drugs wind up creating broken families. They abandon their husbands/wives and children. Drug addiction targets all members of society, rich and poor, people both with low and high profiles. How many times have we heard professional athletes get involved into drug use? The Portland Trailblazers were once dubbed “Jailblazers”; several team members were suspended for possession of marijuana. But the most sensational of all are celebrities from Hollywood, the music industry, etc. The growing number of drug addicted celebrities has really put a negative image on the industry. To heighten awareness and attempt to redeem Hollywood’s image, a show was created entitled “Celebrity Rehab”.
Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew is a reality TV show which features several celebrities as they undergo rehabilitation for various drug and alcohol addictions.
