Who can understand what truly is inside a person’s head? Parents have this attitude of knowing more than their kids know. They enforce what they think is right sometimes without listening to what they children wants to say. This kind of relationship with children makes it more challenging to really make them understand what the parents want them to.
If you are a parent and you want your relationship with children, especially yours, to improve then you must learn to listen. Listening does not mean that you agree with whatever they are saying, but it is merely saying that you respect them enough to listen to what they have to say. To listen to them will make them feel that their voice is worth listening and they will give you the same amount of respect as well.
Admittedly parents do know more than their children. Out of love and concern parents tell their kids what to do and what not to do. Unfortunately, parents just say no without giving any explanation why they are saying no. This greatly puts a strain in the relationship. To have a good and working relationship with children there must be an extra effort in the side of parents to make the children understand that there are boundaries and that there are consequences of the choices that they will make.
